I haven’t been able to work on my game much over the last week, though I have been chasing down some bugs and trying to squash them. As my first real attempt to make a game like this I’m quickly realizing just how much planning it all on paper first would have helped. As the coding gets longer and longer it’s becoming trickier to go back in a modify things. There is a ripple effect in place that sometimes leads to screwy results when I make changes. Then I have to track down all the loose ends. I feel like I’m doing a lot more work but getting fewer results as I near what feels like the finish line (assuming there is a finish line!)
Its a little weird having jumped into this blog 75% into the process. However, joining our programming in progress…
