Hello Finders of Random Blog Posts!

I am please to announce the release of my new children’s book: “The Alphabet of Perilous Encounters”.

My son, Dorian, has always loved monsters, scary animals, and perilous situations.  The first game I ever remember him wanting to play with me revolved around rescuing his toys from falling between sofa cushions.

I’d pull them out and he would jam them back in while pretending to have the toy call out “save meeeeeeee!”  before slipping down out of sight.

Skipping ahead, this past summer my wife and I bought a dry erase board for Dorian to use for doodling.  Together we were soon drawing ghosts and spiders and whatever else came to mind.  Sometimes Dorian would tell me what to draw and other times I would make something at night to surprise him in the morning.  I took a picture of a couple of these drawings to send to family members.  Just a “look what we’re doing” kind of thing.

Soon I realized that I had half the alphabet covered and figured I could complete the whole list.  My plan was to make book out of the images and give them to Dorian as a present.  However, I realized that other parents with slightly odd (in a good way) children might appreciate this books sense of humor.  And if it keep their child’s attention long enough to learn some letters while they’re at it…  all the better!

Please enjoy “The Alphabet of Perilous Encounter”.  Now out in paper back at Amazon and digitally at Apple’s iBook store.  A Kindle version is in the works.
